The new iPod Touch.
Posted by Wenart in Sep 02, 2010, under Gadget and Stuff

SO, apple did make the new ipodtouch. as they promised, the new iPodTouch has a camera on it. but seems the camera resolution wasnt good, its (960 x 720) with back camera, ( but in exchange iTouch can do Video recording, HD (720p) up to 30 frames per second with audio).

So . . the camera . . . is it 1,2 megapixel or something? to bad XD I expect it to have a camera at least 3,2 or 5Mp XD what a waste XD so my decission to buy Aino was true then, and I am lucky not to wait the new iPod Touch to release XD whee ~~
The difference between the old iTouch and the iTouch2nd ( I dont know what should I call this new iPodTouch? iTouch 2.0?? iTouchduo? or else?? ) that the new one has the retina display just like iPhone4, and A4 processor just like the one in the iPad, and of course, video recording and camera, some build in speaker and microphone, and . . . yeah, its a little bit thinner than the previous iTouch.
So . . should we buy it? its depends, for the owner of old iTouch, its seems worthless because the gadget feature difference between the old and the new one wasnt a big difference, (exept you have some extra money to spend) so I guess, we should wait until the iTouch get a new more awesome feature, and then it worth to buy then
, but if you doesnt have an iTouch yet ( or other mp3 player and iPhone ) you can buy it. its a good gadget ( for gaming and mp4 player of course).

Nintendo 3DS extended Hands-on
Posted by Wenart in Sep 02, 2010, under Gadget and Stuff
Still remember this beautifull gadget? let us get in touch deeper and deeper with this Nintendo 3DS, Here is some video regarding the Nintendo 3DS, does it worth to buy? its your choice
(did I see some micro SD support on the side on Nintendo 3DS ? seems pretty cool, I didnt remember they said anything about microSD support, ( or did I miss it? ) and judging by the gadget design, seems this Nintendo 3D can make a good PDA, hmm.
Hmm ~ should I say goodbye to my iPod TOuch? its depends, lets wait until the Nintendo3DS launched. anyway Nintendo’s just confirmed that the Nintendo 3DS will launch in all major markets by March 31, 2011. No word on pricing or who—Japan, Europe, or America—gets to play first. One more thing, the 3DS’ design might change.
Nintendo’s Reggie Fils-Aime:
“You know typically, at an E3, our engineers are looking for feedback. You know, we have an army of Nintendo representatives out on our show floor talking to attendees, getting reactions to everything in the device: the depth slider, the buttons, the sliding pad that is, essentially, an analog-type stick. These are things that we’re looking to get reaction to, including the overall button placement. When we get all that feedback, then we’ll finalize the design”
oh yeah, there some more video ~ you can find it here -> http://e3.nintendo.com/3ds/
Sony Ericsson – Aino, First glance
Posted by Wenart in Aug 23, 2010, under Gadget and Stuff

yeah, I just got my Aino some days ago, *I already sold my E71 and trade it for an aino* and here we are some simple review on this tiny sweet gadget.
I just bought a black aino, because the white aino version is look very `plastic` to me, the black one seems more sturdy and tough for me, the main reason I bought Aino was for the camera, its 8.1 Megapixel, it was a second highest sony camera phone`s megapixel at the moment, in the first position there Satio with its 12Megapixel, yeah, and it was D#mn expenssive at the moment.
the camera was quite wonderfull, but yeah I just get my hand on Aino not so long ago, so I dont know best camera setting yet, I just experimenting several shot using mode: Auto, and I didnt use the color correction, if I use this option on my Aino I`ll get a better quality of image, but I just let it be, so here some picture I take using Aino`s camera, no edit, no auto correction.
At some photo, Aino can produce a high detailed photo, and some other, not, I dont know which setting that can be used when taking a picture so I can get the best result, but more importantly is, Aino camera is good and capable to taking a good shot, but Aino`s camera is bad when the light source is in a minor condition. it still can be saved with the flash though, but Aino flash colour is blue, so if there was no light at all, the photo result will be “blue-ish”
the touch screen is at advantage here, especially when taking a picture, because after you touch the screen, and the camera begin auto focusing, at that moment, you can stand still and hold the phone so the photo result will not be blurred, its so convinent, its far better then pushing the camera button, which is have a high risk producing blur image.
Enough with the photo`s review, the touch screen is OK, but not as good as apple`s touch screen, the button was quite bad for me, sometime its hard to push the button, seems my hand is too big for this tiny Aino, the menu was ok, wifi was ok, and I love the USB charger, so I can charge my cp on my laptop. The speaker was OK too, lovely sound. and the other AIno facility is the sony ericsson standart, (well, exept the great camera)

Cute Monster Battle – Step2Step Tutorial.
Posted by Wenart in Aug 19, 2010, under Art Stuff

you can find the rest of my tutorial in my gallery, and my tutorial book,
* its only available on Indonesia book store at the Moment*

here we are ~ my third tutorial ( I mean my third step to step progress ) just open the image for the bigger ressolution or you can just visit this link to get the high resolution image here:
A textless tutorial, so I write the information here. This is was my entry on IndoCG, and luckyly I have a full documentation for the progress, so . . . I decide to make a short tutorial about the process. anyway ~ Enjoy!
There three Phase on this drawing
1. Sketch phase
2. Drawing Phase
3. Detailing Phase
First Phase
FIrst, sketch the character, the main idea, the concept, storyline, brainstorming into a paper ( well, its depends, you can also sketch dirrectly on PC using tablet ), some ppl said concept was very important, if you fail to make a good concept then the rest of the painting will be soulless (well, actually I often made a conceptless painting too ~ lolz). After you get the Idea, you can start drawing into your PC ( or just scan your sketch into your PC) and begin layouting and begin to visual your Idea, after you get the desired layout, you can also apply some color on the sketch, so you can get an imagination on how your final image will be done.
Second Phase
Start draw the main character, and some simple background on it, ussualy I draw the main character object on the picture first ( well its different from people to people ) because I still have a high spirit in the begining of painting process, and I`ll draw the rest part of painting that not too important in the end of painting process because I already exhausted in the end of painting process
.
1. I scanned the sketch and start to draw the character right above the sketch layer.
2. start drawing by giving simple color on the body.
3. Give some detail and texture on the character skin.
4. Draw the background, and you can experiment on how the background should be draw, be creative.
Third Phase
in third phase you can start giving some detail and expand your Idea, and begin experiment so your painting will be more beautiful.
1. giving detail on the green jungle and giving texture to the ground.
2. Start to detail the othere stuff
3. Changing the color of the jungle leaf, because the dragon is green, and the jungle is green too. if the jungle stay green will make the dragon blend with the background, so I decided to use another colour for the jungle so the dragon character can be spotted easily on the painting.
3. a bunny HOSTAGE, now the bunny will have a reason to beat the “innocent look” dragon
, I add this element to explain the painting storyline more clearly.
4. Giving the detail to the bunny above the cliff and the other hazardous material.
5. VOiLa ~ Finished . . . . the final illustration is here

First Hands ON: Nintendo 3DS AWESOME!!
Posted by Wenart in Jun 16, 2010, under Gadget and Stuff
I just saw the report from the E3 yesterday, Nintendo Finally has show their new Gadget generation, Nintendo 3DS

Here we are . . the Nintendo 3DS, the shape is almost no different than the old NDS, except there was analog stick, and 3D deepth adjustment near the big upper screen, and a nice set up of a button below the touchscreen, is that a touch screen button? oh yeah…. There is also a motion-sensor and a gyroscope. A number of new game ideas will be born to take advantage of these new game mechanisms.
and yeah, one more good news . . . Nintendo claim that there no need special 3D glasses to see the 3D effect.
Here is two camera on the back cover, it said that this camera can take 3D photo, seems pretty cool huh? I dont know if this feature will be usefull but this is quite an improovement.
And here is an example on the game graphic, it was great ( I mean it was VERY GOOD ), the quality is almost similar to PS2 ( or maybe wii ) a normal NDS will not able to do this, not even PSP can do this too lolz.

and here is some third party game developer who gonna support this game device, seems Nintendo 3DS gonna be a very promising game device this year
Nintendo hasnt tell the audience about pricing and the hardware specification, or when this N3DS gonna be available in the store worldwide ~ but I believe the`ll the details soon. I guess you guys want to buy it so much, but~~ I suggest you to wait the news for the PSP2, I dont know if Sony will publish it here at E3 but, PSP2 is also a promising gaming device, rummors said the graphic quality is almost similar to XBOX. (especially for ppl who are low in budget and only buy only one between Nintendo and sony gaming device).
here is some mock up concept for the PSP2. . . I dont know if this image was real or not, but judging from the concept, it`ll be a pretty cool gadget too.
